Matt is a lawyer specialising in transaction taxes. He developed his skills at a multinational firm for 13 years. As part of a national team run via Melbourne, Matt assisted a diverse client base. He has predominantly worked in Perth with a secondment to Brisbane in 2010-2011. Matt has developed particular expertise regarding indirect tax matters and takes instructions on discrete income tax disputes.

Matt is on the WA State Committee of the Energy and Resources Law Association (formerly AMPLA).

Education

Matt graduated from the University of Western Australia (UWA) in 2007 (Law and Finance degrees).

He returned to UWA to tutor in taxation law from 2016-2019.

He was fortunate to go on student exchange to the University of British Columbia in 2004. He remains a dangerously bad skier.
